Transform the Tintswalo Surgical Ward to Save Lives and Enhance Patient Care and Dignity
Will you help us transform Tintswalo Surgical Ward to save lives and enhance patient care and dignity?
In collaboration with Mpumalanga Department of Health, we are on a mission to transform Tintwalo’s Surgical Ward, a facility serving a significant population in need of critical medical attention.
The Surgical Ward currently faces challenges ranging from outdated facilities, no dedicated surgical room, nor adequate resources, hindering the delivery of optimal care to patients, and increasing mortality rates.
Without a minor procedures room, patients have to wait days or even weeks to undergo operations, threatening the standard of care they receive.
Your generosity not only transforms building building facilities but restores dignity and provides quality care, one patient at a time. With your support, we can transform surgical wards by updating:
Small Procedure Room: A dedicated space will be established for minor procedures to be conducted outside of designated surgery days. The room will feature a proper bed with leg support for patient comfort and caregiver accessibility, as well as essential medical equipment such as a surgical tray and medical light.
Privacy Measures: Curtains will be installed between beds to provide privacy during wound care and small procedures. This will enhance patient dignity and alleviate distress caused by exposure to sensitive medical procedures.
Infrastructure Improvements: Upgrades to ward facilities will include repairing or replacing broken fixtures such as toilets, sinks, and lighting. Adequate storage solutions will be implemented to ensure proper organization of medical supplies and equipment.
Nursing Station: A designated nursing station will be established to improve workflow efficiency and provide a conducive environment for patient care documentation. This station will offer better ergonomics and organization for nursing staff.
Tea Room: The current tearoom will be repurposed for the small procedure room. A new tearoom will be constructed in a suitable location within the ward, addressing concerns regarding privacy and cultural sensitivities.Your donation ensures that every patient experiences the compassion and dignity they deserve during their healthcare journey.
Together, we can rewrite the story of healthcare, making it one of empathy, empowerment, and healing. Join us in making a difference today.
Donate now and be the change that transforms lives and healthcare at Tintswalo Hospital.
