Accommodation

As a Tshemba volunteer, you can enjoy tranquil and tasteful accommodation free of charge. This is the perfect escape from a hard day’s work. We offer a scenic hideaway and true bushveld refuge surrounded by an array of game, bird species and the great outdoors.
Within our Volunteer Centre, each chalet has a private deck with a breathtaking view of the bush. The communal building features two comfortable lounge areas with a fireplace, a fully-equipped, state-of-the-art kitchen and scullery and a spacious dining room. We also have a separate TV room and a gym. Best of all, you can relax outside on the wooden deck, in the infinity pool or in the boma where you’ll enjoy superb views of the Klein Drakensberg Mountains and a watering hole close by that draws the animals of Moditlo Private Game Reserve.

Each chalet has a full set of towels and linen, as well as basic amenities. Linen and towels will be serviced by our wonderful house-keeping ladies. Self-service laundry facilities are available. There is complimentary wifi throughout the Centre, which we rely on as ordinary cellular service is limited.

Our Volunteer Centre has been created in such a way as to allow for opportunities to connect with and learn from your fellow volunteers. You can also choose to bring a partner or friend along to join you on the experience.

Self-catering

All accommodation is self-catering and food-related expenses will be on the volunteer’s own account. There are a variety of shops and restaurants in Hoedspruit. Should you require any assistance in terms of pre-made meals, grocery shopping or sourcing a particular item before or during your stay, please feel free to be in touch with our Volunteer Centre Manager ahead of your visit.
